King Edward Medical College was founded in 1860. It is one of the most ancient medical institution in the South Asia, after Medical College Kolkata (1835) in India. Primarily identified as Lahore Medical College in 1886. Both equally the King Edward Medical College and the attached hospital (Lahore Dispensary) were tiny as opposed to the present size.

it is great achievements by ke in the field of allied sciences. ke has started bsc hons programs in allied health sciences. a lot of candidates has passed bsc degree from ke in the field of optometrist, orthopedist and technologist. but there are limited seats for post graduate(m Phil) degree in this field. this is very poor strategy for the students of allied health sciences. kindly take the with concerns and enhance the m Phil seats of this programs so that graduate students of this college could complete their study in Pakistan. and can server the nation by their studies and practices.
