About NDUAT
On Jan 15, 1974 the groundwork natural stone of NDUAT was planted by the subsequently Hon’ble Prime Minister of India late Smt. Indira Gandhi at Mashodha close to Faizabad city. Shri Laxmi Narain Rai, a PCS officer of Agriculture Department, Government of UP, was deputed as officer on special duty. After a few months, he was been successful by Dr. A. S. Srivastava who procured above in October, 1974. After that on 21, 1975 the govenment of UP made a decision that the major campus of the NDUAT would be founded at Kumarganj, Faizabad rather than Mashodha.

NDUAT Admissions
Admission to several programs of University is held by way of a combined competing examination for all Agricultural Universities of Uttar Pradesh as per convention of Uttar Pradesh Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya (Dwitiya Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 2006 (Uttar Pradesh Adhiniyam Sankhya 16 of 2006) as exceeded by the Uttar Pradesh Legislature and assented to by the Governor on May 23, 2006.
