NSOU Admission Procedure

Applications are asked for entrance to B. Ed. (SEDE) Program at 13 Study Centers. Eligibility criteria: Graduates and/or Masters with at minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST)

  • Time-span: 2 years
  • Contact session: 450 hours in four contact sessions, two sessions every year (see Prospectus for details)
  • Field of expertise in any 2 School Subjects (SS-1 and SS-2): SS-1 Educating of English/Bengali; SS-2 Educating of Science / Mathematics / Social Studies
  • Specialty area in Disability Area: Mental Retardation (M. R. )/Hearing Impairment (H. I. )/ Visually Impairment (V. I).
  • Final date for submitter of Application: 29thJuly’2012
  • Total Course Fees: Rs 20, 000 /-Entry Test: 5th August’2012
  • Entrance will strictly be on merit basis.
  • Booking for SC/ ST/ OBC/PH applicants will be matching to present State Govt. Rules.

NSOU Guidelines for the Admission

Candidate requirements to buy the related prospectus which comprises of application form and white colored deposit challan for deposition of admission and course fees etc. To method the entrance form candidates have to check out the given branches of Axis Bank and obtain it after properly filling up the blue challan and spending 150/.

This submitter of forms will remain start from 14. 07. 2012 to 21. 07. 2012 (apart from bank holidays) through banking hours 9: 30 – 15: 30 (Monday to Friday) and 9: 30 – 13: 30 (Saturday). He/she is essential to fill the entrance form, annex the essential docs and visit the study centre through its functioning hours to have it checked and verified by the coordinator involved (apart from PG Geography and Zoology). The Study centre should put a stamps mark on the upper left side of the form after confirmation. At the exact time white colored deposit challan also requirements to be filled up and stamped as over. The candidate requirements to visit the same branch of Axis Bank during its office hours to deposit his/her entrance fees. The bank will not agree to admission fees without the confirmation stamp from the particular study centres.

After due payment he/she must acquire 2 copies of bank challan, one for his/her own document and one for the NSOU. Span of depositing essential fees to Bank is 06. 08. 2012 to 18. 08. 2012. He/she is essential to post the admission form, essential docs, photograph and NSOU duplicate of the Challan attained from the Bank to the study centre for on ward transmission to the NSOUmost current by 28. 08. 2012.

He/she must obtain a duly signed and stamped receipt from the StudyCentre after submitter of entrance form and challan. For PG Geography and PG Zoology duly filled up in application forms with essential docs have to be posted at the School of Science Building, NSOU at K2, Bidhannagar Fire Station(First floor), Sector-V, Salt Lake, Kolkata-700 091, through the period14. 07. 2012 to 24. 07. 2012. Merit lists for entrance to these courses will be publicized in due course. Dates of counselling, entrance and mode of payment will be notified at that period.
