About Vidyasagar University
Vidyasagar University, referred to as after one of the most illustrious sons of Bengal along with one of the doyens of Indian Renaissance, Pandit Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar, has developed out of a prolonged ethnical and instructional movement in West Bengal in common and in the undivided district of Midnapore in particular. The plan of founding a Vidyasagar University in the district was mooted by the several organizations, obviously by the Regional Education Association, Midnapore, advancing by Teacher A. K. Gayen of IIT, Kharagpur.

A Graduate or a Post-Graduate in any control of Arts / Science / Commerce which include Medical / Engineering / 5-year Law under 10+2+3 pattern or comparative with 50% marks (45% for applicants under earmarked categories) either in get worse or in Honours / at Master’s level, is entitled for admission.
Admission in undergraduate and postgraduate course is primarily structured on the result of higher secondary (10+2) and graduation (10+2+3) level results, respectively.
