ULAB initiator, Kazi Shahid Ahmed, believes that in developing works that advantage the people of Bangladesh and are of support to the country. In this nature, he designed a location of studying where well-rounded students would be completely rich in the values of their own heritage, yet qualified to face the modern global workplace.

ULAB offers programs of study in the following departments:

• Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering

Center for Sustainable Development

• It also offers an Executive MBA degree.

Library

The Library is the core of the  ULAB. It has been developing with the fresh university consistently offering the vibrant community of students and faculty members since its organization. In 2004, the Library was started at 116 Arjatpara, Mohakhali, Tejgaon, Dhaka. In 2006, University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh and the Central Library changed to its own campus at House 56, Road 4A, Dhanmondi, Dhaka-1209.
