The University of Delhi (or simply DU) is a central university in Delhi, India and is funded by Government of India. Founded in 1922, it provides programs at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels. Vice-President of India Mohammad Hamid Ansari is the chancellor. It was positioned 371 in the world in 2010 by the THES – QS world universities ranking. The University of Delhi has 2 campuses in the northern and southern part of the city. The north campus is well attached with the yellowish line of the Delhi Metro. The section is known as Vishwavidyalaya.
